UOG Tritons struggled in the opening set, falling 25-15 as ButterHouse took an early 1-0 lead. The Tritons responded in the second set, winning 25-21 to even the match at 1-1.

The third set remained competitive, but ButterHouse pulled ahead with another 25-21 win to take a 2-1 lead.
The UOG Tritons appeared to be in position to force a fifth set after taking a 21-17 lead in the fourth. ButterHouse, however, closed the match with eight consecutive points, rallying to win the set 25-21 and the match 3-1.

ButterHouse finished the regular season 5-0 as the No. 1 seed, while the UOG Tritons finished 0-5 and will enter the playoffs as the No. 6 seed.

Athletics Director Doug Palmer reflected on the competitiveness of the league, saying,

“This was the best Triton Men’s Volleyball League of all time, with seven five-set matches over the season and no 3-0 matches during the 15-match schedule. This was not a good season for the UOG team, but overall, the league had a great season of matches, and hopefully the matches in the playoffs are the best yet.”

The first round of the playoffs begins Tuesday, September 29:

6:30 p.m. - No. 4 U-Fly vs. No. 5 UMITIDE

8:15 p.m. - No. 3 Local Strains vs. No. 6 UOG Tritons

All matches are played at the UOG Calvo Field House. Playoff matches will be streamed live on the Clutch Plus Channel, with the live feeds available to viewers for free.
