University of Guam’s 2026 Truman Scholar, Caden Nathaniel Ong Poblete, reflects on his experience at Truman Scholar Leadership Week and the lessons it taught him about leadership, service, and belonging. Surrounded by scholars from communities across the country, Poblete discovered that serving the people and places we love does not mean carrying every challenge alone. Instead, he found strength in a community of peers who understood the responsibility of giving back.
