CNAS STEM Conference
The conference is open to all high school students, college students, graduate students, and individuals interested in learning about science and networking on a professional platform! Be sure to buy a ticket and register for our event at uogstemconf.eventbrite.com!
You may use your mobile or computer to access the event page. Once you have registered for the conference, go to https://whova.com/portal/webapp/stemc_202104/ to access the Whova event site. Click “Sign up here” if you don’t have an account yet and fill in your email and password. Make sure to use the email address you used when registering for the event! When logging in, you will automatically be taken to the conference main page.
As the event will have live streaming for sessions, we suggest that you use Chrome browser for the web app. Some streaming software may have compatibility issues with other browsers.
If you have chosen to be included in the attendee list, yes! Be sure to edit your profile and information after gaining access to the Whova platform. We will be having a networking happy hour on both days of the conference with subsessions for various topics of interest. Attendees will also be able to view profiles and send messages to each other. With 1-1 video calls, attendees can also make plans to further connections by talking face-to-face just like they would with someone they met at an event in-person. Video chat is easy — just start a conversation, request permission to call, and then chat at a time that works for both of you.
Live sessions and poster presentations are likely to overlap times. After viewing the full agenda and planning out what sessions you would like to attend, you can click “Add to My Agenda” to put the session on your own personal agenda and set a reminder.
From the agenda list, click the session you want to watch the stream or video. There is a green camera icon for the sessions with streaming or video. If the streaming screen directly shows up, click “Proceed” to start watching the stream. Otherwise, click “View l ivestream” button to open a separate streaming page to watch.
