Håfa Adai UOG Community,

Last night, Governor Lourdes A. Leon Guerrero signed Executive Order No. 2026-04, declaring a State of Emergency in anticipation of the approach of Typhoon Bavi.

Please read the attached Amended Executive Order No. 2026-04 and Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) Public Advisory No. 3 for the latest official guidance and preparedness information.

The Governor has announced the intent to place the island in Condition of Readiness (COR) 3 at 3:00 p.m. today, Friday, July 3, followed by COR 2 at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, in anticipation of deteriorating weather conditions.

Under COR 2, non-emergency Government of Guam offices, including the University of Guam, will close until the island returns to COR 4.

All UOG events, activities, and classes will be canceled or rescheduled while the island is under COR 2. Additional guidance regarding campus operations will be provided as conditions warrant.

Please stay safe, Tritons!
