Håfa Adai UOG Community,
Attached are JIC Releases #8 and #9.
- JIC Release #8 - Emergency Shelter Update; DPHSS Update; Updated Flight Status
- JIC Release #9 - Guam Anticipates Tropical Storm Force Winds; Sinlaku Upgraded to a Super Typhoon; Emergency Shelter Update
GHS/OCD as of April 12, 2026, 9:25 p.m.:
"Guam remains under both a tropical storm warning and a typhoon watch which means that tropical storm conditions are expected within 24 hours.
The threat of typhoon conditions affecting Guam have decreased with recent northward shifts of Super Typhoon Sinlaku’s track the past 24 hours. While the threat of typhoon force winds has significantly diminished, this remains a serious weather event.
The onset of tropical storm force winds (39 mph or more) are expected to reach Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan Monday night. At this time, Guam is not anticipated to receive typhoon force winds (74 mph or more) but still remains in a typhoon watch in the unlikely event of any southward shift of track."
Please stay safe, Tritons!
