Resource: Indigenous spirituality surrounding Serianthes trees in Micronesia: Traditional practice, conservation, and resistance
CIS associate director for Natural Resources Else Demeulenaere has dedicated much of her studies to the preservation and protection of one of the most prolific trees in the Marianas and Micronesia.
Her work has been well documented and was recently published by Social Compass.
The paper entitled, "Indigenous spirituality surrounding Serianthes trees in Micronesia: Traditional practice, conservation, and resistance" features a collaborative effort that spans the region.
