JIC RELEASE NO. 80 - Profiles of Earlier Confirmed Cases; DPHSS Updates

Profiles of the 136 COVID-19 cases include three probable cases (formerly referred
to as
clinically diagnosed cases), reports of 11 confirmed positive cases received from
the U.S. Naval Hospital that were tested by the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC)
in San Diego, and five confirmed positive cases through Diagnostic Laboratory Services
(DLS).
To date, there are 136 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 110 recoveries and 5 deaths.
The Joint Information Center reports fatalities of confirmed COVID-19 cases only.
As this is an evolving situation, information is subject to change with little to
no notice. For updated information on COVID-19 cases on Guam, including residential
villages of confirmed cases,

The DPHSS Office of Vital Statistics (OVS) continues to process birth, marriage, death
certificates, and other vital certificates at its new location on the first floor,
west side of the Ran-Care Building on 761 South Marine Corps Drive across from National
Office Supply in Tamuning. Face coverings are required before entering. OVS is open
Monday through Friday, except on holidays, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

All current holders of the Guam Controlled Substances Registration (CSR), which authorizes
them to manufacture, distribute, or dispense (pharmaceutical) controlled substances,
whose CSR expired in March 2020, or will expire in April, May, June, July, and August
of this year will have their expiration date extended to September 30, 2020. Submission
of renewal
application and fee for these registrants are not required. Any physician or institution
seeking a new CSR will still need to apply and pay all applicable fees. For more information,

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and federal partners recommend postponing routine medical or dental care at this time to reduce the burden on the healthcare system. If you cannot postpone medical treatment, call your provider.
