Student Life Office

Mission Statement

The Student Life Office recognizes the relationship between academic and psychosocial development and strives to foster an environment that would stimulate a positive interaction. The Student Life Office seeks to develop extracurricular programs and activities that enhance both social and learning environments of students to promote student development. The Student Life Office is sensitive to and advocates for the needs of students. The Student Life Office endeavors to function as an integral part of a feedback system which detects students’ satisfaction.


Student Organizations

Organizations which seek to use the University’s name, resources, or facilities must be registered with the Student Life Office and the Student Government Association. All registered organizations must have a faculty advisor. Students are encouraged to belong to or form organizations to promote their common interests. New Student Orientation

Orientation is provided for all new students during the week prior to the start of each semester. Orientation includes an introduction of Administrators, Deans, student leaders and advisors. Students are provided with a comprehensive information packet detailing academic programs, campus life and student support services. Students receive academic advisement prior to the enrollment process.


Freshman Year Experience

New freshmen are included in a year-round mentoring program involving academic advisement, interest inventories, referrals for tutoring, counseling, career planning, academic progress mentoring program involving academic advisement, interest inventories, referrals for tutoring, counseling, career planning, academic progress tracking and student satisfaction surveys. Take a Campus Tour

Campus tours are offered Monday through Friday by appointment ONLY, except on holidays, and depart from the Student Life Office, room 1, located at the Student Center.  You can call (671) 735-2271 to schedule your visit.  The tours will be led by an undergraduate university ambassador.
