Babauta will be the 35th speaker in the University's Presidential Lecture Series

The University of Guam welcomes Leo Babuata, author and creator of zenhabits.net, as the 35th speaker in its Presidential Lecture Series. The event will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Room 129 in the School of Business and Public Administration Building on the UOG campus. Babauta’s lecture is entitled: “Mindfulness and Meaningful Work: Pushing into Uncertainty and Finding Focus.”

Babauta will tell the story of how he created a widely read blog and became a best-selling author while living on Guam, and then share basic mindfulness techniques and how to use them to push into the discomfort of doing meaningful work in the world. He will be discussing thoughts on procrastination, changing habits, staying in uncertainty and more.

“We are pleased to have Leo Babauta as our 35th Presidential Lecturer. He is the most successful blogger from Guam having well over one million followers,” said Dr. Robert Underwood, UOG President. “Babauta’s philosophy of simplicity provides a stark contrast to a world with multitudes of choices and channels.”

The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited.
