UOG Men's Soccer Returns To "Pitch" On Wednesday To Face BOG Strykers, Cup Match-up Is On June 10th
The University of Guam Men's Soccer Team returns to the field on Wednesday night, June 6 at 7:30pm to face the Bank of Guam Strykers "Team 1" in a rescheduled match from the GFA Premier League which was cancelled when referees did not show up for the match. The game will be played now as a warm-up for both teams as they enter the Jamaican Grill GFA Cup this weekend.
UOG is 13-3-1 on the season and finished 3rd in the Budweiser Premier League regular season and reached the semi-finals of the Premier League Playoffs. The Strykers are 12-5-0 on the season and finished 5th in the GFA regular season standings and reached the semi-finals as well in the Premier League Playoffs.
The Tritons will face EuroCar FC in the 2nd Round of the Jamaican Grill GFA Cup Sunday, June 10 at 6:00pm. EuroCar FC is 7-9-1 on the season and they finished 10th in the Premier League regular season. The Tritons defeated EuroCar 4-1 on April 21 in their regular season match-up.
EuroCar defeated the Master's Club, "Big Blue" in the first round of the Cup to advance to face the #3 Seeded UOG team in the 2nd Round. UOG received a bye in the Cup First Round.
If the Cup match-ups follow the Premier League Playoffs, the Tritons may face both the Bombers and the Rovers FC in the quarter-finals and semi-finals again.
