The University of Guam Recreation Department Trident Women’s Basketball Club Team dropped their 2nd game in the Trident Women’s Basketball League on Monday night in the UOG Calvo Field House. The Trident Women’s Club Team lost to the Fuetsa Basketball Club 76-37 as the Fuetsa squad had a full team and wore down the Trident team who started out with 5 players and eventually had 7 players later in the game. The Fuetsa team was up 19-11 at the end of the first quarter and 39-21 at half-time as Fuetsa basically doubled the points every quarter over the Tridents.

Momoko Ennis helped keep the Tridents in the game in the first half, as she scored 12 points in the first 20 minutes, but she did not score in the 2nd half. Via Defant led the Tridents with 13 points.

April Talledo led Fuetsa with 23 points while UOG’s high scoring women’s soccer player, Elisha Benavente, playing for the Fuetsa Basketball Club scored 12 points.

The Tridents are now 0-2 in the TWBL and will play next against the Guam Community College team (0-1) on Thursday, February 1 at 8:00 p.m. Fuetsa is now 2-0 in the league and face the Royal Basketball Club (1-0) on Thursday at 6:15 p.m.

In the 2nd game of the night, the Royal Basketball Club defeated the Crusader Basketball Club 65-54.
