Put sustainability into action: UOG to host special workshop this Friday

Jessica Marati RadparvarJessica Marati Radparvar, the keynote speaker of the recent University of Guam Regional Conference on Island Sustainability this past March, will be holding a special action-oriented sustainable business workshop, presented by the UOG Center for Island Sustainability and the UOG School of Business & Public Administration. It will be held from 1 p.m.–5 p.m. this Friday, Jan. 4, at the UOG SBPA Resource Center, located on the second floor of the SBPA building.

Radparvar is the founder of an Amsterdam-based social impact consultancy company called Reconsidered. Her workshop is designed for people leading local businesses and individuals who are looking to spark sustainable change in their work. It will help them create a social responsibility strategy that turns their ideas into impact.

Participants in the four-hour workshop will:

  • Learn about the current trends in sustainable business
  • Walk through the steps of co-creating a sustainability strategy
  • Discover behavior science-based tips for embedding sustainability across a business
  • Design a pilot project to start right away
  • Leave with an action plan of next steps as well as a toolkit of resources.
