The University of Guam Press (UOG Press) is seeking to establish a pool of talent to support the publishing house’s upcoming publications and projects. UOG Press is looking for dependable and experienced freelance writers, copy editors, translators, graphic designers, illustrators and photographers, who will be compensated for their work. Because we publish books in CHamoru and in an array of other Micronesian languages, we are also seeking writers, editors and translators who can provide these services in CHamoru and all other languages of Micronesia.

In order to successfully and professionally achieve its publication goals, UOG Press is particularly looking for people who are able to meet tight deadlines, receive constructive feedback and produce quality work.

How to Apply:

Email a digital portfolio featuring a minimum of five (5) relevant work samples that demonstrate the breadth of the applicant’s skills and a one-page letter of interest that includes:

  1. Full name
  2. Service(s) the applicant is eligible to provide from the following list: writing, copy editing, translating, graphic design, illustration, photography
  3. For writing, editing and translating services in languages other than English, please specify the language these services can be provided in

  6. Relevant experience/background, including previous professional jobs
