The University of Guam Men's Basketball Team signed Father Duenas Memorial School basketball player Brandon Soriano to a 2019-2020 UOG Athletic Letter of Intent and partial tuition scholarship to play for the Tritons.

Soriano was a First Team All-Island basketball player for the Father Duenas Friars in 2019, and the 5'10", 190-pound forward helped lead the team to three top-four finishes the last three seasons in the IIAAG playoffs.

The forward scored 10 points per game with five rebounds, two assists, and two steals per outing for his senior season.

He was First Team All-Island as a tight end in football, a Second Team All-Island performer in boys volleyball as a middle blocker.

He won bronze medals twice with the youth national teams for Guam at the U15 and U17 levels.

He also was a Third Honors program academic winner at FDMS as well.

The UOG basketball team is coming off of a 5-18 season in 2018-2019 but has reloaded its roster for 2019-2020 and will begin play in the Triton Men's Basketball League on Oct. 14, which will also start the live game coverage on PBS Guam TV for the semester.
