UOG Men's Soccer defeats Crushers 8-1 but loses player to injury
The University of Guam Men's Soccer Team defeated the Crushers Football Club 8-1 in the Guam Football Association Amateur Men's League on Feb. 8 at the GFA National Training Center.
UOG's Kautong Onengkar, a defensive player, had a leg injury in the last five minutes of the match and the contest was called at that point. Onengkar was taken to the hospital to be examined.
Scorers for UOG were Dylan Naputi, Ryoga Okada, and Ichiyo Kawamata with two goals each, and Ryo Suzuki and Hezekiah Cruz scored one goal each.
UOG is now 6-1-0 on the season while the Crushers FC fall to 4-3-1.
The Tritons take on the Islanders FC next at 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, at the GFA National Training Center. The Islanders are the only team to defeat UOG so far this season in an 8-6 defeat in the opening match of the season. The Tritons had a 4-1 halftime lead in that match.
