The University of Guam Men's Soccer Team defeated Beercelona Football Club 9-1 in the GFA Amateur Men's League on Feb. 1 at the Guam Football Association's National Training Center.

Beercelona jumped out to the lead in the match about five minutes in with a long-distance shot that caught the UOG goalkeeper out of position. The ball sailed into the goal for a 1-0 Beercelona lead.

But that lead was erased by the Tritons less than one minute later as UOG tied the game at 1-1. Then Dylan Naputi put the Tritons ahead with another UOG goal for a 2-1 advantage.

UOG would score a third goal before the half ended to lead 3-1 at intermission. The Tritons outscored Beercelona 6-0 in the second half for the 9-1 win.

Dylan Naputi, Ryoga Okada, and Hezekiah Cruz each scored two goals for the Tritons while James Yang, Ryo Suzuki, and Jeffrey Ho added one score each.

The Tritons now have a five-match winning streak and pushed their record to 5-1-0 on the season while Beercelona drops to 3-5-0.

UOG faces the Crushers FC at 9p.m. next Friday, Feb. 8 at the GFA National Training Center.
