Want to study abroad? If your answer is “yes,” ask your advisor or a faculty member to nominate you for the UOG Overseas Exchange Program before the March 12, 2021, deadline. Along with the nomination, you will need to submit a statement of purpose explaining why you wish to study abroad through the UOG exchange program to the Global Learning & Engagement office. You will also need to decide at which of UOG’s partner universities (listed below) you would like to study.

Once you are selected to be an exchange student to a UOG partner university, you will then complete the partner universities application form and submit the following additional documents, including, but not limited to:

1. Financial statement to show you have access to sufficient resources to live and study in the partner university
2. A Health Certificate completed and signed by a physician
3. Current UOG transcripts

COVID-19 Statement
The COVID-19 pandemic has created uncertainty about study abroad. It is possible that the UOG exchange program may not be available, may be limited to select partner universities, or be available in an online-only format. The University of Guam will attempt to keep students abreast of developments that affect study abroad.

Partner universities in Japan:
- University of the Ryukus (free dorm and more)
- Okayama University
- Aoyama Gakuin University
- Meio University
- Chiba Institute of Technology
- Shibaura Institute of Technology

Partner universities in Korea:
- Inha University
- Hosan University (free dorm and more)
- Hankuk University of Foreign Studies
- Jeju National University
- Gyeongam Provincial Namhae College
- Gachon University

The purpose of these exchanges is for students to grow and be challenged in a diverse culture and environment. You will remain a UOG student while attending another university, and you will still graduate a Triton. You can decide whether to study one semester or for a full academic year.
