Guam's Maj. Gen. Tracy Smith to become first woman to lead largest Army Reserve medical command

An Army officer who received her commission through the University of Guam ROTC program will take command of the 807th Medical Command (Deployment Support) in a ceremony scheduled Sunday at Fort Douglas, Utah.

Maj. Gen. Tracy L. Smith was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Medical Service Corps through the ROTC program at the University of Guam, where she was awarded a four-year Merit Scholarship and a two-year ROTC National Scholarship. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1987. She holds a 2002 Master of Business Administration from Troy State University, and a 2007 Master in Strategic Studies from the Army War College.
