UOG SHRM students donate supplies to St. Dominic's
The University of Guam Society for Human Resource Management student chapter held a donation drive for St. Dominic's Senior Care Home that resulted in more than $500 worth of products, including cleaners, sanitizers, and disinfectants.
"Guam's elderly population and caretakers, such as the staff at St. Dominic's, experienced considerable social and economic hardship during the pandemic," said Denzyl Ngiralmau, chapter president. "When our organization reached out to them, they expressed a need for sanitization products to protect their patients."
The students orchestrated the drive in under one week.
"We sincerely want to express our gratitude to the staff at St. Dominic's for safeguarding our island's vulnerable manåmko throughout the pandemic. Here at SHRM, we believe that it is our duty to give back to our community and provide the necessary support to those in need," Ngiralmau said.
Assisting the students' efforts were SHRM chapter advisers Assistant Professor Joann Diego and Professor Emeritus Richard Colfax.
