The Filipino-American Presidents' Club of Guam recently awarded scholarships to two University of Guam students.

The awardees are Angelica Rose B. Rico, a senior on a biomedical track and majoring in psychology; and Kyona A. Rivera, a junior in the communication program. Each received $500 for the  Fañomnåkan semester. 

Rivera is the president of the Student Government Association and plans to become an event producer or enter public service through nonprofit work.

Rivera also is a member of the Governor's Youth Advisory Council and AmeriCorps Ayuda Para I Komunidat program; the public relations officer for the UOG Triton Changemakers student organization, and a member of the UOG Communication Society.

The scholarships were awarded on March 16, 2023 on campus.
