Public Invited to Attend UOG Annual Research Forum
The University of Guam invites the community to attend its 2nd Annual Research Forum on Friday, September 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Saturday, September 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Jesus and Eugenia Leon Guerrero School of Business and Public Administration Building on the UOG campus.
The forum will highlight the current research projects and activities across UOG including collaborations for sustainable health, innovative plastic waste solutions, and CHamoru language and culture research training.
“This year’s Annual Research Forum brings our campus and community together through the power of inquiry and discovery,” said Dr. Sharleen Santos-Bamba, Senior Vice President and Provost. “From topics in engineering to education, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of research areas.”
Event Schedule and Registration
The first day of the event on September 12 will feature a full schedule of research
presentations with special sessions featuring the work of UOG graduate student alumni,
a tour of the archaeology lab, and informational booths of UOG research and auxiliary
units.
On September 13, a grants capacity-building workshop will be offered for those interested
in learning more about finding, writing, and applying for grants and managing grant
awards.
The 2nd Annual UOG Research Forum is organized by the Office of the Senior Vice President & Provost Office of the Senior Vice President, Academic and Student Affairs in collaboration with the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.

Research at UOG
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) at UOG, oversees grants acquisition and research initiatives across UOG’s nine research centers. In March 2025, UOG was designated a Research College and University (RCU) by the Carnegie Classification, recognizing institutions with significant research activity.
