Have you ever wondered where your food comes from before it reaches your plate? Was it grown locally? Who produced it? What was applied to it? These are questions that are increasingly on the minds of consumers around the world. They are looking for food that is safe, authentic and responsibly produced.

This is where the concept of “food traceability” comes in. Traceability is the ability to track a food product’s journey from farm to table. It documents where food comes from, how it was produced and how it moved through the supply chain before reaching consumers
