The University of Guam Lady Tritons basketball team opened the season with high hopes after finishing second in the Spring 2026 Lady Triton Super League but fell to JusForFuns 60-56. The victory marked the first Super League win for JusForFuns in three seasons.
In the nightcap, JusForFuns entered the season with several new players after earning two wins in the Super League Summer Tournament in July. The team jumped on the Lady Tritons from the start, with Bri Cruz scoring eight points in the first quarter to give JusForFuns a 15-11 lead. BG Arceo added seven points in the second quarter to help extend the advantage to 29-21 at halftime.
JusForFuns took control in the third period, outscoring the Lady Tritons 23-10 to build a 52-31 lead heading into the final 10 minutes.
The Lady Tritons fell behind by 25 points early in the fourth quarter, but a full-court press helped UOG battle its way back into the game. Cheyanna Movida and Mylie Navarro caught fire for the Tritons, scoring nine and eight points, respectively, in the period. Their efforts helped UOG cut the deficit to three points with less than a minute remaining, but JusForFuns held on to secure the 60-56 victory.
JusForFuns was led by Arri Arceo with 16 points and BG Arceo with 15, while Bri Cruz
added 14. Movida paced the Lady Tritons with 17 points, while Navarro contributed
14.
JusForFuns opened the season at 1-0, while the Lady Tritons fell to 0-1.
In the opening game of the night, the Lady Nationals cruised past BallHers 94-21. Despite having only six players available, the Lady Nationals controlled the game from the start. BallHers struggled offensively throughout the night and went scoreless in the first quarter, trailing 21-0 after the opening 10 minutes.
The Lady Nationals extended their lead to 44-7 by halftime. Their dominance continued in the second half, as they outscored BallHers 50-14 over the final 20 minutes to complete the 94-21 victory.
Lana Quinata led the Lady Nationals with 25 points, while Maya Torre added 19. Edrianna Lorenzo led BallHers with six points.
The Lady Nationals opened the season at 1-0, while BallHers fell to 0-1.
