Since its inception in 2018, the More Like Jimmy Scholarship has awarded nearly $100,000 to local students pursuing careers in environmental and marine sciences. This year, the legacy of Jimmy Hall continues to inspire the next generation of scientists and environmental stewards through $15,000 in scholarship awards to six University of Guam students.

Established in memory of Jimmy Hall, the More Like Jimmy Scholarship provides financial support to University of Guam students pursuing degrees in marine biology, environmental science, or integrative biology who share Jimmy's passion for sharks, the environment, and outdoor adventure. His curiosity, enthusiasm, and adventurous spirit inspired those who knew him to strive to be "More Like Jimmy."

This year's recipients distinguished themselves through thoughtful and compelling essays that demonstrated a deep commitment to marine conservation, environmental stewardship, community service, and educational achievement. Their aspirations to protect and preserve the natural world reflect the values that defined Jimmy's life and continue to shape his enduring legacy.

Congratulations to our scholarship awardees! We are proud to see them carry Jimmy's spirit forward through their education and future careers."
