Dr. Lander is a researcher at the Water and Environmental Research Institute (WERI) at the University of Guam (UoG).
Today's talk will be presented by Dr. Mark Lander. He is interested in water quality with emphasis on tropical rainfall. He has recently finished a compendium of climate reports for Guam.

POETS Charter Month Talk 3: Getting to the Root of the Issue – threats to the future of Guam’s mangroves
Presented by Cara Lin.
Cara grew up on Long Island, NY and earned a BS in Marine Sciences and MS in Biology. She has worked as an environmental educator and researcher in different coastal ecosystems in NY, GA, FL, and pacific islands. As the 2020-2022 Guam coral fellow based out the Guam Department of Agriculture, she has been working on developing a better understanding of our seagrass and mangrove ecosystems in Guam to guide management efforts.
