The University of Guam Men's Basketball team routed the Mr. Rubbishman club team at the Guam Basketball Challenge 108-37 at the Andersen AFB Corral Reef Recreation Center.

UOG sprung out to a 32-15 first quarter lead and increased it to 56-20 at half-time as the Tritons added more defensive pressure in the 2nd quarter. UOG then exploded for 40 points in the 3rd period to lead 96-20 and then cruised to the 108-37 final score.

UOG newcombers had a major influence on the game as Blake Jenkins scored 24 points and 14 rebounds. Billy Belger added 26 points and 4 assists along with Anthony Brown with 11 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 points. UOG returner Ryan Nangauta had 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals.

UOG had played the Rubbishmen club team in the Summer Jam League and had won 62-54, but the outcome was totally different this time. UOG plays at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10 back at Andersen AFB against the HVK Bulldogs. The Bulldogs defeated the UOG 76-73in the Summer Jam League.
