The University of Guam welcomes the following new faculty members and administrator
in the Fañomnåkan 2020 semester:
EDLYN M. DALISAY, CPA, CGFM
Risk Officer Office of Administration & Finance
Edlyn Dalisay has joined the Office of Administration & Finance as the risk officer
and will conduct audits of all aspect of the University’s operations.
Dalisay is a U.S. Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Government Financial
Manager. She brings 13 years of audit and finance experiences both in government and
private sectors.
Prior to joining the University, Dalisay served as an accountability auditor at the
Guam Office of Public Accountability, where she conducted performance and compliance
audits of several Government of Guam agencies and oversaw government-wide financial
audits.
She also worked with the largest audit firm in the Philippines, where she audited
several companies representing various industries. She has also served as finance
head for private companies in the Philippines and Guam.
Dalisay earned her Bachelor of Accountancy at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila
(University of the City of Manila). She is also a licensed CPA in the Philippines.
BUI THI LAN HUONG, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Marketing School of Business & Public Administration
Bui Thi Lan Huong has joined the School of Business & Public Administration as an
associate professor of marketing. She comes to the University as a seasoned scholar
with extensive teaching and research experience and accolades to include numerous
fellowships, scholarships, academic honors, and certificates.
She received her doctorate in economics from the Center for International Economics
and Finance at the University of Aix-Marseille II France. She also holds an MBA with
a concentration in marketing from the French-Vietnamese Center for Management Education
at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and a Bachelor of Science
in physical chemistry from the University of Saigon in Vietnam.
She was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar and a post-doctorate fellow at Johns Hopkins
University School of Advanced International Studies.
SHINHWA LEE, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Counseling School of Education
ShinHwa Lee joins the School of Education as an assistant professor of counseling.
Lee is a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor with clinical experiences with children
and parents under the Child Protective Services, victims of domestic violence, at-risk
students, and in-and-out patients at a psychiatric hospital.
She previously worked at Eastern New Mexico University as an assistant professor,
graduate coordinator, and program leader of the Counseling Program for five years.
She holds a doctorate in counselor education from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Her scholarly interests include multiculturalism, wellness, and early childhood mental
health.
