Mr. Hernan Bonsembiante to Speak at UOG School of Engineering’s Fall 2025 Seminar

The University of Guam School of Engineering will continue its second FANUCHÅNAN 2025 Seminar Series on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 4:00–5:00 p.m. in Science Building Room SC 101. The event is open to the public and will also be available via Zoom.

Mr. Hernan Bonsembiante, a distinguished civil engineer with over 15 years of experience in Guam’s construction industry, will be the featured speaker. A graduate of Buenos Aires University in Argentina, Mr. Bonsembiante brings extensive international expertise in engineering and construction, having worked on major infrastructure projects across the Pacific.

His presentation, “Why Leave When the World Can Come to You? – How to Focus on Your Career to Remain in Guam and Not Have to Leave,” will offer valuable insights on professional growth and building a rewarding engineering career without leaving the island.

Mr. Bonsembiante’s experience includes managing large-scale civil and industrial projects such as the $5 billion nickel processing plant in New Caledonia. He previously served as Facilities Engineering Manager and Chief Engineer for U.S. Naval Base Guam under the Base and Operations Support (BOS) contract, overseeing facilities for naval installations in both the Bahamas and Guam. Locally, he has also led construction management for a major heavy civil contractor, including the dredging of Apra Harbor.

The seminar will inspire students and professionals to pursue excellence and innovation in Guam’s growing engineering sector.
