The University of Guam Board of Regents welcomes Jerold W. Filush as its newest member. The Guam Legislature confirmed his appointment earlier this year.

Filush is a business consultant with over 43 years of public accounting and private business experience. He has provided auditing, accounting, and financial advisory services to a significant number of businesses on Guam since his relocation to the island in 1978.

“The University of Guam's ability to provide well-rounded and appropriately educated graduates is vital to the continued growth of the island, especially in light of the upcoming military build-up,” he said. “I look forward to assisting the other members of the Board of Regents, not only in maintaining the University's current educational and operational standards but also by seeking any opportunities for improvement.”

In 1974, he earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from Aquinas College in Michigan.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Filush is a well-seasoned public servant, who previously served on multiple boards such as the Guam Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Rotary Club of Tumon Bay, the Navy League Guam Council, the Guam Society of Certified Public Accountants, and more.
