The University of Guam Triton Athletics had its Student-Athlete Reception on May 28 in the UOG Calvo Field House to honor the student athletes for their hard work and success in the 2018-2019 academic year.

President Thomas W. Krise opened the reception followed by UOG Athletics Director Doug Palmer, who reported on the "State of the Varsity Athletics Program," which highlighted the successful 2018-2019 season that Triton Athletics had.

Palmer also introduced two new coaches for the 2019-2020 academic year: Cecile Olandez, who will start and coach the women's basketball program, and Gary Larkin, who will take over the highly successful women's soccer program next year following the split in the men's and women's head coaching duties.
