Interested in a year-long undergraduate or graduate STEM fellowship starting in Fañomnåkan 2021? Read on!

Applications are now available for the NSF INCLUDES: SEAS Island Alliance fellowship, which allows selected fellows to partner with a faculty researcher and conduct scientific research projects.

The research subject areas include:

  • marine biology
  • environmental science
  • botany
  • ecology
  • social science
  • sustainability

The fellowship includes paid scientific research experiences, mentorship, educational outreach, and travel opportunities.

Application deadline: 5 p.m. Nov. 13, 2020.

The NSF INCLUDES: SEAS Island Alliance stands for the National Science Foundation’s Inclusion Across the Nation of Communities of Learners of Underrepresented Discoverers in Engineering and Science: Supporting Emerging Aquatic Scientists. It is a collaborative project taking place in Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico, aimed at broadening participation of islanders in STEM fields. It is part of a comprehensive national initiative to enhance U.S. leadership in discoveries and innovations by focusing on diversity, inclusion, and increased participation in STEM at scale.
