College is about more than a GPA. It’s about learning who you are and who you want to be. Though we wish there was some magic formula for figuring it out, there isn’t. Don’t worry, we have the next best thing: over 50 undergraduate, graduate and professional development programs and 40 student organizations to help you figure out what’s right for you.
UOG believes that the real world tests knowledge better than any test question can. More often than not, Tritons graduate with more than just the required number of degree credits. They graduate with firsthand experience gained through travel programs, internships and student activities. Because of UOG’s small class sizes, professors are more than willing to point you in the right direction including national conferences, research efforts and scholarship opportunities in which you would be interested.
Sometimes you need a break from the curriculum. There’s always something happening on campus. Feeling active? Join intramural sports. Feeling artsy? Check out the exhibit at Isla Center for the Arts. Feeling like you want to relax? Watch a play. Listen to the University Singers. Catch a movie night at the Lecture Hall.
Opportunities are here, and it’s yours for the taking. Warning: getting involved may require stepping out of the classroom.
