INSURANCE CERTIFICATE SERIES

 

University of Guam Certificate Program Curriculum

University of Guam, Professional and International Programs Insurance Certificate Program offers the Insurance Community of Guam the opportunity to have their employees use the University of Guam as the educational partner of choice for Insurance professional development courses.

How Does It Work:

Every course taken, the student will earn a Certificate of Completion signed by the University of Guam. They will also earn CEUs to meet the standards contained in Article 15 for the issuance of an Insurance License.

University Certificate Curriculum:

Listed below are the curriculum which are customized to meet the industry’s needs.

  • Intro to Property and Casualty, 15 hours
  • Introduction to Claims, 15 hours
  • Introduction to Risk Management, 15 hours
  • Introduction to Underwriting, 15 hours
  • Guam Property and Casualty Insurance License Exam Prep, 16.5 hours

Trainers come from within UOG’s faculty ranks as well as from an outstanding pool of highly qualified Adjunct Faculty.

 

Education Partners –

Tokio Marine Pacific Insurance Limited:

Tokio Marine agreed to have Mr. Brion Kanda as an Adjunct Instructor for the University of Guam Insurance Certificate Program Series.  Mr. Kanda is the Chief Underwriting Officer for Property and Casualty at Tokio Marine Insurance. 

Net Care/First Net Insurance Company (Moylans Insurance Underwriters):

Mr. Kurt Moylan, President of Moylan’s Insurance, Net Care and First Net have agreed to have Mr. Cesar Garcia and Mr. Daniel M. Manuel as Adjunct Instructors for the University of Guam Insurance Certificate Program. Mr. Garcia is the Chief Executive Officer for First Net Insurance Co. and Mr. Manuel is the Claims Manager for Equitable Adjusting & Service Corporation. In addition, they have offered the use of two of their classrooms at Julale Center for the Insurance courses.
