The University of Guam Board of Regents has general supervision over the University. The board sets the policies governing the duties, conditions of employment, compensation, and salary of all University employees. The board also submits an annual budget to the Guam Legislature.
The Board of Regents meets no less than four times per year. The meetings are being held via registered Zoom during the emergency declaration period of the pandemic. For security purposes, registration is required for the public to attend. This complies with the governor’s Executive Order No. 2020-07, dated March 28, 2020, paragraph 4 related to Open Government and Participation in Meetings via Teleconferencing during the emergency declaration period. The University of Guam conferred degrees on Dec. 19 to 241 graduates at its Fanuchånan Commencement Ceremony.
