The University of Guam Triton Athletics celebrated the achievements of its student-athletes at the 2024-25 Student-Athlete Awards Reception on May 13. Held at the UOG Calvo Field House, the event honored standout performers across six sports, with Amanda Uncangco earning the prestigious title of Student-Athlete of the Year for her exceptional performance in both Women's Soccer and Basketball. Awards for Best Offense, Best Defense, Triton Award, and MVP were given to top athletes in Men's and Women's Volleyball, Basketball, and Soccer.
Au Mana secured their third Lady Triton Volleyball League Championship with a 3-1 victory over top-seeded Rogues on May 8 at the UOG Calvo Field House. Despite a strong start by the Rogues, Au Mana's resilience and offensive power, including a key performance by MVP Niesha Chen, sealed the win. Earlier that evening, Guam Pro 1 claimed 3rd place after a thrilling five-set win over the Lady Bombers. The 2025 season wrapped with Au Mana going 7-2 and the Rogues finishing 7-1. The All-League Team and MVP honors were announced, with standout players recognized for their season-long efforts. The Lady Triton Volleyball League will return in Fall 2025.
Au Mana and the Lady Bombers dominated their quarterfinal matchups in the 2025 Lady Triton Volleyball League, advancing to the semifinals after sweeping the Lady Tritons and Legacy, respectively. The matches were held Sunday night at the University of Guam Calvo Field House, setting the stage for high-stakes semifinal games on Tuesday, May 6. The Lady Bombers will take on the top-seeded Rogues, while Au Mana faces No. 2 Guam Pro 1. Fans can catch all the action streamed live on the UOG Triton Athletics Facebook page.
The University of Guam Women's Soccer team fell to Guam Shipyard 6-1 on Tuesday night, April 29, at Astumbo Gym in Dededo during a Guam Football Association Lady Futsal League match. Isabella Clement scored UOG's only goal in the first half, narrowing the gap to 2-1 before Shipyard pulled away. Maya Inarte led Guam Shipyard with two goals, contributing to the team's dominant performance. UOG is now 0-2 in the league and will face the Lady Cobras next Thursday at 8:00 p.m., while Guam Shipyard (2-0) will take on the Bank of Guam Strykers at 7:00 p.m.
The KFC Bombers secured their spot in the Triton Men's Basketball League Championship after a high-scoring 123-112 victory over Fairzesh on May 2 at the UOG Calvo Field House. Led by standout performances from Tezz Williams, Taariq Harvey, and Dee Harrell, the Bombers will now face top-seeded Team Austability in the title game on Monday, May 5 at 7:00 p.m. All games are streamed live on the UOG Athletic Facebook page.
