Dylan Sablan is the principal of Business and Technology Academy Charter School, the newest high school on Guam. He also chairs the Social Studies Department, where he brings in knowledge and perspectives from his studies at the University of Guam and King’s College London. His teaching is designed to give high school students a more rigorous and relevant experience in the social sciences, with an emphasis on Asia-Pacific affairs. His master’s dissertation explored the role that indigenous movements on Guam can play in shaping U.S.-China geopolitical competition, challenging traditional ideas of power in international relations.
