The Information Security Office (ISO) collaborates with partners across the University of Guam campus to monitor network activity for vulnerabilities and security incidents, assess data and systems to align in accordance with policies, provide a centralized authentication and authorization system, clarify campus obligations needed to protect data, and to educate the community in becoming a culture of security. The Network Operations Center (NOC) works to provide the best network experience for the University of Guam campus by constantly making system upgrades to increase the speed and stability for both the wireless (WiFi) and hard line (LAN) connections as well as create new network connections so data resources can be accessed as fast and as best as possible. The University of Guam Telecommunication And Distance Education Operation (TADEO) is responsible for maintaining existing telecommunication connections across Micronesia and researching and developing communication improvements. These infrastructures are used for daily communications, disaster preparation and distance education. TADEO also supports the university community with technical support for telecommunication services (Point to Point Video Conferencing and online web meetings). In addition, TADEO staff also offer technical support for audio/video conference events on or off-campus.
TADEO also manages the Center for Online Learning (COLL) who provides technical support for the university's online environment. Each semester, nearly 100 classes use the Learning Management System (LMS) platform (Moodle) to deliver online content and engagement activities.
