Brief About

KishaBorja-Quichocho was recently hired as the Editor for the Micronesian Area Research Center and an instructor in the School of Education.  She also teaches courses in the Division of English and Applied Linguistics. 

 

She received a BA in English from Hawai'i Pacific University, an MA in Pacific Islands Studies from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, and an MA in Teaching from the University of Guam.  Kishahas taught secondary level Language Arts courses in the GDOE.  

Interests

Her research interests focus on Chamoruidentity, Pacific literature curriculum, and culturally relevant teaching.  One interesting fact is that Kisha is also a host in the first Chamoru program for children called "Nihi!". She enjoys spending time with her daughter Lina'la'.

Brief About

Tania Bosqui, a clinical psychologist, joins the University of Guam and will work in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences.  She most recently worked at the Centre of Public Health, Queens University Belfast in Northern Ireland on a research project on ethnicity, conflict and mental health; and for the Refugee Services of the Red Cross providing psychosocial interventions. 

Tania completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2006, University of Leicester), Master of Science in Poverty Reduction and Development Management (2010, University of Birmingham) and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (2013, Queens University Belfast).

She has worked in a number of different clinical service settings, including a tertiary mental health service in south India, a psychosocial service in the occupied Palestinian territories and a preventative primary mental health service in the UK.  Tania has published a number of research studies with a special interest in childhood trauma and development, psychotic disorders, psychosocial interventions, ethnicity and mental health, migration and global public mental health.

Tania is excited to be on Guam, with her fiancé and young son, and to meet all the staff and students.
