AmeriCorps is a network of national service programs that each take a different approach to improving lives and fostering civic engagement. Members commit their time to address critical community needs, like increasing academic achievement, mentoring youth, fighting poverty, sustaining national parks, preparing for disasters, and more.
As a member of AmeriCorps UOG, you will engage with high school students, college students, and members of the community to create awareness and provide assistance in the areas of:

It also has financial rewards! Membership also comes with a monthly living allowance of $528, and members who complete at least 900 hours of service receive a $3,047.50 scholarship award.
Application cycles begin every summer for service in the following academic year. For the 2020-2021 academic year, applications are due on Aug. 31.
