AmeriCorps UOG
AmeriCorps is a network of national service programs that each take a different approach to improving lives and fostering civic engagement. Members commit their time to address critical community needs, like increasing academic achievement, mentoring youth, fighting poverty, sustaining national parks, preparing for disasters, and more.
As a member of AmeriCorps UOG, you will engage with high school students, college students, and members of the community to create awareness and provide assistance in the areas of:
Being an AmeriCorps member is personally fulfilling as you will be helping people, strengthening communities, and simply getting things done.
Additionally, AmeriCorps provides valuable experiences that will enrich your character and enhance your perspectives, two things that will benefit you throughout your life and career.
It also has financial rewards! Membership also comes with a monthly living allowance of $528.00, and members who complete at least 900 hours of service receive a $3,172.50 scholarship award.
Application cycles begin every summer for service in the following academic year. For the 2023-2024 academic year, applications are due on November 15, 2023.
