Education Benefits Checklist
The University of Guam Financial Aid Office is here to help make the financial aid process as simple as possible. We understand that applying for financial aid can sometimes feel overwhelming, so we’ve broken down the process into these basic steps. You can complete your FAFSA and apply for financial aid using this guide.
Applying for financial aid is free, and many students are surprised to find out what they’re eligible to receive. Whether or not you think you’ll qualify for need-based financial aid, it is still a good idea to apply– it’s the only way to know what you’re eligible for.
Application & Certification Process
-
Check your eligibility
If you’re an active-duty service member or Veteran, a member of the National Guard or Reserves, or a qualified survivor or dependent, you may be eligible for the GI Bill® or other educational assistance. Find out if you may be able to get help paying for tuition and fees, books, housing, and other education costs, depending on which education benefits you’re eligible for.
Visit https://www.va.gov/education/eligibility for more details on your eligibility as a Veteran, service member, or qualified family member.
