At the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences—CLASS—we believe a university education should help you discover who you are, understand the world around you, and imagine how you might contribute to its future.

From our home in Guam, we bring a distinctive Pacific perspective to that journey. Here, cultures, languages, histories, ideas, and global forces intersect in ways that make our island and region an extraordinary place to learn about people, societies, creativity, and change.

Our place in the Pacific is not the edge of our education. It is one of its greatest strengths.

Get to know your professors and your peers. Participate in research, creative work, internships, and community engagement. Learn from people whose experiences differ from your own. Ask difficult questions and take intellectual risks. The knowledge you gain, relationships you build, and questions you pursue at CLASS can shape not only your career, but the person you become.

Our location in Guam gives CLASS a perspective few colleges can offer. We study and celebrate the languages, histories, cultures, artistic traditions, and communities of our island and region while engaging with ideas and challenges that reach across the globe.

This work reflects the spirit of the University of Guam and CLASS where learning begins with the courage to ask a better question, listen to another perspective, preserve what should not be lost, challenge what needs to change, or imagine something that does not yet exist.
