Available Scholarships

Scholarships: Money available to college students from various community organizations and businesses. They are competitively awarded to applicants based on academic or other specific submissions and achievements. Ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars, scholarships can help cushion the cost of books and supplies or can fund your entire semester’s tuition.

Different scholarships are available at different times throughout the year, so it is important to check this page regularly.

The Society of Emeritus Professors and Retired Scholars (SEPRS)

UOG Scholarship

The Society of Emeritus Professors and Retired Scholars (SEPRS) at the University of Guam is currently accepting applications for its 2024 – 2025 Scholarship Award.  The intent of the SEPRS Scholarship is to assist full-time UOG students in accomplishing their academic goals and the academic mission of the University of Guam.  This scholarship is intended to support any registered full-time UOG students (i.e. one who is either currently enrolled or one who has been admitted for enrollment in an on-campus and/or off-campus program)

An award of $500 per semester / $1,000 per academic year.  (Number of awards to be determined by Organization)

Obdama Foundation Voyager Scholarship

The Obama Foundation is currently accepting applications for the Voyager Scholarship. This opportunity provides college students with last-dollar financial aid to help alleviate the burden of college debt (up to $50,000 over two years), meaningful travel experiences to expand their connections to new communities, and a network of mentors and leaders to support them throughout their careers. The two-year scholarship program for U.S.-based students in their junior year of college offers unique opportunities for those who are committed to pursuing careers that serve the public and their communities.

AGA Guam Chapter Herminia Dierking Scholarship

  1. Must be a full time (12 credit minimum) incoming Junior or Senior enrolled in the UOG School of Business and Public Administration with a major in Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration.
  2. Must have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) of 3.0 as of Fall Semester 2023.
  3. Must submit an essay as evidence of his/her commitment in promoting accountability and transparency in the government environment.
  4. Must demonstrate desire to excel and plans to graduate with a major in Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration disciplines.
  5. Scholarshup recipient will be required to participate in at least one AGA community service project.
  6. Past AGA Guam Chapter scholarship recipients are not eligible.

University of the Philippines Alumni - Guam (UPAG) Scholarship

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident of Guam.
  2. Must be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credits) at the University of Guam and must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher at the time of application.  Full-time status must be maintained for all semesters covered by the scholarship. 
  1. Must be of good moral character and must have no criminal record.
  1. Scholarship recipient must attend at least one community event identified by the organization or one meeting of the University of the Philippines Alumni - Guam during every year covered by the scholarship.

Finalists selected from the applicant pool should be available for a 5-10 minute Zoom interview for the final stage of the selection of scholarship awardees

$1,000 per academic year, renewable every semester for uo to 4 years (Maximum award of $4,000)

Filipino Ladies Association of Guam (FLAG) Scholarship

The Filipino Ladies Association of Gum (FLAG) is sponsoring a scholarship for University of Gum students.  The Scholarship is for a junior or senior level student enrolled at the University of Guam and is for their use for education related expenses.

 

Eligible Scholarship Recipients.  All scholarship applicants must meet the following qualifications:

 

  1. Must be a permanent resident of Guam or a U.S. Citizen.
  2. Must be an enrolled full-time undergraduate, junior or senior level student at the University of Guam and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00
  3. Must be of good moral character and have no criminal record.
  4. Must not be a recipient of any other private scholarship

The applicant’s sex, race, ethnic group, or religion plays no factor in the selection of the recipient.

APIA/AANAPISI Scholarship

Applicants Must:
  • Be able to describe their ethnicity, heritage, orancestry in relation to the countries, territories, orlands in Asia or the Pacific Islands
  • Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident ofthe United States
    • Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands,Federated States of Micronesia and the Republicof Palau are also eligible to apply
  • Plan to enroll as a part-time or full-time student in anundergraduate degree-seeking program, during thenext academic year's Fall semester
  • Have completed the Free Application for FederalStudent Aid (FAFSA) for the next academic year.
  • Plan to attend one of APIA Scholars AANAPISIPartner Institutions during the upcoming Fallsemester (or Winter quarter)

Rotary International District 2750 PBG Friendship Scholarship: Rotary Club of Tokyo-West Scholar

  • All full-time undergraduates within their last 60 credit hours of their degree program

Federated States of Micronesia National Scholarship

Full-time (taking at least 12 credits for undergraduates or 6 credits for graduate students) students from the FSM with a minimum 2.0 GPA for undergraduates and 3.0 for graduate students who plan to return to the FSM to work in their field of study for one year for every year awarded.
