Available Scholarships

Scholarships: Money available to college students from various community organizations and businesses. They are competitively awarded to applicants based on academic or other specific submissions and achievements. Ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars, scholarships can help cushion the cost of books and supplies or can fund your entire semester’s tuition.

Different scholarships are available at different times throughout the year, so it is important to check this page regularly.

Tan Siu Lin & Family  Trust Fund Scholarship
  • Must be of Chinese descent AND/OR residents of Guam. the CNMI, or Micronesia
  • Must be an undergraduate, full-time (12 or more credits) student at the University of Guam
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Must demonstrate an interest in China and Chinese related studiies or have a Major in Business (all tracks), Asian Studies, or Science (Biology and Marine Biology)
Up to 5 scholarships of $1,000 each

APIA/AANAPISI Scholarship
Applicants Must:
  • Be able to describe their ethnicity, heritage, orancestry in relation to the countries, territories, orlands in Asia or the Pacific Islands
  • Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident ofthe United States
    • Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands,Federated States of Micronesia and the Republicof Palau are also eligible to apply
  • Plan to enroll as a part-time or full-time student in anundergraduate degree-seeking program, during thenext academic year's Fall semester
  • Have completed the Free Application for FederalStudent Aid (FAFSA) for the next academic year.
  • Plan to attend one of APIA Scholars AANAPISIPartner Institutions during the upcoming Fallsemester (or Winter quarter)

Association of Government Accountants (AGA) Guam Chapter: Herminia Dierking Scholarship
  • Full time (12 credit minimum) incoming Junior or Senior enrolled in the UOG School of Business and Public Administration with a major in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance and Economics or Public Administration.
  • Must have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) of 3.0 as of the end of Spring Semester 2023.
  • Must submit an essay as evidence of his/her commitment in promoting accountability and transparency in the government environment.
  • Must demonstrate desire to excel and plans to graduate with a major in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance and Economics or Public Administration disciplines.
  • Award recipients will be required to participate in at least one AGA community service project.
  • Past AGA Guam Chapter scholarship recipients are not eligible.
  • Awards will be issued to the University on your behalf to off-set the cost of tuition and fees or books.

  • Strong emphasis on community service and leadership
  • Solid academic achievement
Range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards

Asian American & Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Scholarship
  • Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by U.S. Census
  • U.S. citizen, national, or legal permanent resident. Citizens of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau are also eligible to apply.

Bank of Guam LIFE Scholarship
  • Full-time students (12 credits) attending the University of Guam or Guam Community College
  • Continuing UOG students with a minimum of 24 completed credits for two consecutive semesters (with proof of completion) at UOG
  • Bank of Guam employees and their immediate families (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses if applicable) are not eligible to enter.

The Filipino Ladies Association of Guam (FLAG) Scholarship - Fall 2022

  • Applicant must be a permanent resident of Guam or a U.S. Citizen.
  • Be an enrolled full-time undergraduate, junior or senior level student at the University of Guam and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00
  • Must be of good moral character and have no criminal record.
  • Must not be a recipient of any other private scholarship.
  • The applicant’s sex, race, ethnic group, or religion plays no factor in the selection of the recipient.

Guam Chamber of Commerce Dave J. Santos Scholarship

  • Full-time (13 credit minimum) incoming juniors or seniors enrolled in the School of Business & Public Administration

  • Students who can evidence knowledge and desire to excel as an entrepreneur in Guam

Rotary International District 2750 PBG Friendship Scholarship: Rotary Club of Tokyo-West Scholar

  • All full-time undergraduates within their last 60 credit hours of their degree program
  • Citizens of the FSM, CNMI, Guam, or Palau

  • Students who can show evidence of financial need
  • Students who have not received any other type of private or national scholarship
  • Immediate family members of Rotary Club members are not eligible

Full-time (taking at least 12 credits for undergraduates or 6 credits for graduate students) students from the FSM with a minimum 2.0 GPA for undergraduates and 3.0 for graduate students who plan to return to the FSM to work in their field of study for one year for every year awarded.

Palau National Scholarship

Palauan citizens attending UOG on a full-time basis (earning at least 24 credits each academic year) who will return to Palau to work after graduation. Applicants must have declared a major and be in their junior or senior year. Must maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA.
