Plant Diagnostic Service

UOG Extension offers a free plant diagnostic service for Guam residents via our UOG Plant Health Clinic. We specialize in testing vegetable crops, ornamentals, trees, and field crops for fungi, bacteria, viruses, and more.

How to submit sample:
  1. Always pick plant samples from the field that are a good representation of the problem you see. It is always a good idea to send the sick plants in different stages of sickness. Also send a healthy plant for reference. (Remember, there is no such thing as too many samples!)
  2. Fill out the sample submission form. A fillable form is available here and hard copies are available in Room 105 of the Agriculture & Life Sciences Bldg. on the UOG campus. They are also available in front office of the Yigo Research & Education Center. Please fill out as much information as you can, this helps with rapid diagnostic. Feel free to take extra copies or make copies for future needs.
  3. Drop your samples to ALS Bldg. Room 105 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Friday. We are closed on weekends and holidays.
