The College of Natural & Applied Sciences was created in 2003 by combining the former College of Agriculture & Life Sciences with the mathematical sciences, natural sciences, and pre-professional programs from the former College of Arts & Sciences and with the military science program from the former College of Business & Public Administration.
The College of Natural & Applied Sciences administers five undergraduate and four graduate-level degree programs. These include degree programs in agriculture and life sciences and a minor in military science as part of UOG's federal Land Grant mandate.
The University of Guam Land Grant invites Guam growers to a free Soil Field Day at the Yigo Research & Education Center to learn about soil health, biochar, compost, and sunn hemp from soil scientist Dr. Christianah Oladoye.
This UOG Horizons: Knowledge for Life column explores Guam’s invasive vines—like chain-of-love, mile-a-minute, and luffa—and explains why these species dominate the landscape, the ecological impacts they cause, and what it reveals about island ecosystems.
